Bhaskar has a rich experience of more than 20 years as a serial entrepreneur. Bhaskar has extensive experience in setting up, building, and formulating corporate strategy and direction for various successful organizations. He is currently Chairman of Cambridge Clean Energy and Chairman of Cambridge Energy Resources.
Bhaskar also co-founded Cambridge Technology Enterprises, Cambridge Energy Holdings, Cambridge Energy Resources, Sustainable New Energy, Avanti Holdings, and Cambridge Technology Enterprises. Bhaskar led a successful IPO of Cambridge Technology Enterprises, a global business and technology Services Company specializing in enterprise transformation and modernization services, on both Bombay and National Stock Exchange in India. Under his leadership during five years, Cambridge Technology had grown at 100% CAGR. Achievements include assembled high-performance teams, establishing robust infrastructure, and creating a vibrant organization with significant enterprise value.
Prior to Cambridge Technology Enterprises, Bhaskar served as CEO of Cell Exchange, an enterprise systems developer to government enterprises, leading it through phenomenal growth resulting in named to Washington Technology Fast 50. Prior to that, he served as the CEO of Unique Computing Solutions, an Internet technology and services firm. During his tenure, Unique was named twice on Inc. 500 List of fastest growing private companies, Deloitte Regional Fast 50 and National Fast 500 rosters.
He also co-founded e-Solutions Integrator in 1999, an e-business consulting firm, which subsequently merged with Unique Computing Solutions. Additionally, Bhaskar promoted many other technology companies, 1Efficiency (SaaS software for Energy Management), Blue Cloud Techs (in Social Media, Mobility, Big Data, and Cloud Solutions), Mascot Networks (product and solutions provider in education space) and Trading Research Design (financial risk management solution provider).
William (Bill) Bubenicek has over 10 years of experience in entrepreneurial ventures, with specific focus on the emerging markets, most notably Africa, India and Latin America. He co-founded Clean Power Systems (CPS) and Cambridge Clean Energy (CCE) and is currently the President/CEO of CCE.
Prior to CCE, Bill was the CEO of CPS, and a partner/director at GSM Systems (GSMS), a telecom equipment-trading firm, from 2007-2010. Bill joined GSMS as a start up in 2006, and focused on developing accounts in the EMEA markets and drove growth and expansion of the company by over 400%. In 2008, as growth in the trading business continued, he also oversaw the development of a new start-up division aimed at repair and supply chain services in Nigeria, effectively doubling the company’s revenues and profits.
In early 2010, Bill co-founded CPS and began pursuing strategic partnerships with clean energy manufacturers while consulting with industry experts to develop a compelling business case for operators aimed at bringing viable clean energy solutions to the ICT space. CPS continued to expand in key markets in Africa, specifically Uganda, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania, and continues to grow under the new CCE structure.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Bill’s experience was in business operations, and account management, including P&L responsibilities for flagship accounts in NYC in the Security industry. Bill worked for Allied-Barton Security Service from 2003 – 2006, managing accounts with high profile clients such as CB Richard Ellis, Jones Lang LaSalle, Colgate-Palmolive and Verizon.
Bill’s academic achievements include an Executive MBA from Colorado Technical University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University at Albany.
Jason is a Partner at Amadeus where he focuses on opportunities in online services and digital media. Since joining the firm as an associate in 2007, he has worked closely with Liquavista, the electronic display maker, and Forth Dimension Displays, a micro-display supplier, helping both companies realise exits to Samsung and Kopin Corp respectively. Jason is currently a non-executive director on the boards of Edgeware AB, which builds systems and software for on-demand TV, and Linkdex Ltd, a leading organic marketing management platform for advertisers and agencies. He is also an active observer on the board of Unruly Media, the leading social video advertising company.
Prior to joining Amadeus, Jason was a lead member of a technology and product development team at E Ink Corporation in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he worked on commercialisation of the world’s first electronic ink display. The technology has been widely deployed in a range of consumer products most notably Amazon’s Kindle electronic book.
Jason holds Engineering and Science degrees from MIT, Stanford University and Cambridge University. Jason is mostly Trinidadian with a bit of Jamaican and American added in for good measure.
Originally from the UK now living in the USA, experience C Level Global Executive with extensive background in Telecommunications and Power Engineering. A Chartered Electrical Engineer and experienced design and production leader having over 15 years with Nokia heading up Globally, Network Services, PMO, Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions. After Nokia, setup and ran 2 start-up companies focused on design and build of power products for telecommunications and established PPA accounts in the Middle East and Africa. A PMI certified Project Leader with a passion for effective and efficient operations with a focus on personnel development. A forward thinking team leader who concentrates on local development of teams through unique training and development programs to ensure sustainable local employment of resources.
Starting 2002 Shaun has held roles in finance, operations, and internal controls with two multibillion dollar multinational organizations. Most recently Shaun was the Director of International Financial Planning and Analysis for the Estee Lauder Companies, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products.
Shaun coordinated and reviewed the short and long term financial plans and estimates of 35 affiliate offices, distributors, and plants, across Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. During Shaun’s tenure, the company achieved consistent year over year growth and profitability ending fiscal year 2010 with net sales of $7.8 billion and net earnings of $478.2 million.
Prior to joining the Estee Lauder team in 2006, Shaun held multiple roles with the Reader’s Digest Association, a global multi-brand media and marketing company. Shaun’s initial position was within the Finance Leadership program in which he performed a rotational role in key areas of the company’s business including finance, marketing, public relations, and internal controls. Upon completion of the two year Finance Leadership program Shaun joined the company’s Internal Control group.
As an Internal Control Manager Shaun was responsible for leading finance and operation teams on both domestic and international reviews and presented both business process and financial improvements to senior management. Shaun’s business travels have taken him across North America as well as extensive travel within Europe, Africa and Asia.
Shaun is a Certified Internal Auditor since 2004 and received his Bachelor of Business Administration, Majoring in Finance and Marketing at the State University of New York – SUNY Albany. Shaun also performed under graduate work at the University of Queensland in Brisbane Australia, studying International Business.
Mahesh heads the operations of Cambridge Energy Group Companies and also leads the operations of expanding the CER’s tele-tower power solution in the global market. Prior to joining Cambridge Energy Group, he was Director Marketing at Cambridge Technology Enterprises (CTE). During his tenure with CTE he was also the head of its Products support practice that supported product companies in North America by leveraging its global delivery center based in India. Before joining CTE, Mahesh was with Rolta, a global market leader and solution provider of innovative IT solutions, services and software. He headed their mapping department and led the organization in developing innovative solutions for the global market based out of North America. Mahesh has over 18 years of experience in handling cross border and globally distributed teams to manage business operations, marketing, supply chain and delivery. Mahesh has MS and M. Tech Degree in Earth Science IIT, Mumbai.
Chris has 17 years of experience in the emerging markets, primarily in Africa and the Middle East and is currently the Managing Director for Africa. He co-founded Clean Power Systems (CPS) and is a key member of Cambridge Clean Energy (CCE) management team.
His telecoms industry experience began in 2007, when he joined a start-up equipment trading company; GSM Systems. Starting in a sales role, focusing on developing accounts in the EMEA markets, Chris quickly built a portfolio of business in the market, helping to drive consistent growth for the company year on year. In addition, he went on to lead the expansion into the services business, focused initially in Nigeria. Chris built the operation from the ground up and after 8 months on the ground, the Nigerian business was 50 employees strong, and was the largest revenue and profit centre for the Company. His efforts effectively doubled the size and global reach for GSM Systems.
In early 2010, Chris co-founded CPS with a primary focus to build strategic partnerships with clean energy manufacturers in an effort to create a viable turnkey solution for mobile operators. Realizing that many solutions would involve modification for the telecoms applications, Chris also became involved with innovative engineering & new product development.
Chris was an integral team member in founding CCE, a merger between CPS and Cambridge Energy Resources. In his current role his primary focus is to ensure that CCE executes on the EMSaaS™ strategy becoming Africa’s standard for clean distributed energy solutions for the Telecommunications, Commercial and Rural Electrification markets.
Prior to GSM Systems, Chris was a trader in the Commodities Market, working for James Finlay & Co, a subsidiary of the Swire group; for over 12 years he traded on 5 continents, helped build two different business units and became the youngest General Manager in the company’s history.
His passion is high growth start-ups, operational and process excellence and the emerging markets, specifically Africa and the Middle East.
Richard’s involvement in clean energy solutions started form an early age in his career when he focused on the development of ocean current turbines as part of his final thesis for his mechanical engineering degree. During 2010 and 2011 Richard joined Free Power in South Africa where he managed the installations of solar power, solar hot water and wind turbine installations for residential and commercial customers across South Africa. This was during a time when the renewable energy industry in Africa was only just kicking off and many challenges had to be overcome as in country learning was developed. Richard later joined Arup Consulting Engineers as part of a 3-man renewable energy team and contributed to growing the team to 20 people over 3 and a half years on the back of successful work delivered to clients who were investing in and constructing large MW scale solar and wind facilities across South Africa. During this time Richard was also part of the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) Rooftop PV Subcommittee and contributed to the South African Solar Energy Technology Roadmap (SETRM) as a technical specialist contributor for PV. Through his role as a consulting engineer, Richard was exposed to the commercial and financial aspects associated with developing such projects and learned to integrate the technical feasibility and risks with the associated commercial, social and environmental impacts.
Richard has now joined CPS as the General Manager for Uganda and is focused on building on the successful work that has been accomplished in Uganda to grow the company and expand into other East African countries as the standard for clean energy solutions.
Achyuta started his career in Sterlite Industries Ltd ,a VEDANTA Resources group of companies having interests in nonferrous metals and having an 11,000 MW power plant. Worked as Vice President to AKSH OPTIFIBER Ltd. Remained as consultant to Rosendhal Gmbh,AUSTRIA. Headed number of projects in the Middle East, Europe and India as a consultant. He is the founder and Managing Director of ABM pvt ltd, ABM Projects pvt ltd and Ganjam Zircon pvt ltd. ABMinerals owns and operates a number of mines in the state of Orissa. AB minerals and ABM Projects work as contractors to Vedanta Aluminium ltd. Gopalpur ports ltd and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
Achyuta has a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Calicut.
Nisheeth Goel is the Chief Operating Officer of Cambridge Energy Resources (CER) and responsible for business operations of CER in India. Prior to joining CER he headed the commercial division for Indus Towers Limited, the largest telecom infra company having about 125,000 towers on PAN India. He led the development and management of supply chain strategy, to support enterprise goals and was responsible for supply chain process, infrastructure and enablers. He also led the project called “Green Indus” and “Unicorn” for creating alternate source of energy for replacing the DG and to meet cost objectives and savings for the Business. Prior to Indus Towers, he served as Business Head in Sterlite Technology (Vedanta Group) and was responsible for procurement, imports, vendor development, contract management and inventory management. Also into his credit he has successfully executed the mega Wind power project of 250 MW capacity in the states of Gujarat, Karnataka and M&G for Hindustan Zinc Limited. He is a highly qualified supply chain logistics and management professional with expertise in field of Transmission, Networking and Renewable Energy for last 15 years.
Mr. Nisheeth Goel is MBA in Finance from Guru Jambeshwar University, Rohtak and B.E. (Chemical) from MSRIT, Bangalore.

He is the former Chief Executive Officer of Zain Africa, where he led the 15 African mobile operating companies, servicing over 42 million active Customers and delivering revenues of cUS$4 billion. Zain Africa grew in excess of 50% under Chris’ leadership and pioneered several ground breaking initiatives, including Borderless Roaming, Cross-Border Mobile Money Transfer, Tower Sharing and Network Outsourcing. The recipient of numerous industry accolades, Zain Africa was recently sold for US$10.7 billion.
Chris was formerly the Group Chief Officer ACE Strategy at the Zain Group, where he was accountable for refining and executing Zain’s Global Strategy across the 22 Zain operating companies, together with leading and managing Zain’s international and regional IPO’s, including the SAR7 billion IPO for Zain KSA.
Prior to joining the Zain Group, Chris was Group Chief Financial Officer and Group Chief Information Officer at Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco Group) as well as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Umniah Mobile Company. Major achievements during his time with the Batelco Group include record double-digit revenue and operating profit growth; acquisition of Umniah Mobile Company; successful raising of a US$485m debt facility (60% over subscribed); and the successful implementation and execution of a group-wide organisational transformation program.
Prior to joining the Batelco Group, Chris was the Director, Finance for SingTel Optus Business in Australia where he was a key member of the leadership team that built Optus as the second carrier. Major achievements during his time with SingTel Optus include delivering double digit revenue growth at rates three to four times market; over 30 percent improvement in delivery cycle times; over 50 percent reduction in unit operating costs; and successful integration of the Singapore Telecom and Optus global Network organisations.
Chris is a renowned international executive with a passion for operational excellence and over achievement in high growth start up, turn-around and emerging market environments. He is a recognised leader in team building, mentoring, human capital development and public speaking. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Business in Finance; CPA; MBA in Marketing; Bachelor of Law; Diploma of Corporate Management and Diploma Company Director.
Simon joined the efforts of CCE and CPS in October 2014, with some 25 years industry and investment experience, mostly focussed on the Emerging Markets, specifically Africa.
He is the Managing Director of Specialised Investment Solutions, an investment advisory business which he formed in 2004, and which assists developing corporations in realising their growth opportunities through the development of business strategies and the raising of capital to implement these strategies. The Company has led a number of global initiatives, with the foremost of these revolutionising the Gold Industry through bringing gold to all investors in the form of Exchange Traded Gold Funds, an initiative which attracted some $100bn of new investment into the sector.
Through SIS, Simon also co-ordinated the financing and development of a number of Resource Companies, where he also served as a Director, and was instrumental in raising some $500m for investment into the DRC to finance the exploration, development and construction of the first Gold Mine in that Country.
Prior to forming SIS he was a Managing Director of the World Gold Council responsible for the investment division, and previous to this he was a Managing Director with HSBC and Head of their South African Securities business, having worked up through HSBC as a top ranked financial analyst.
Daniel Lee is the Managing Partner of Intrepid Advisory Partners. Mr. Lee has advised on more than 20 tower transactions globally. Since founding Intrepid, Mr. Lee has advised American Tower on the $1bn acquisition of Airtel’s sites in Nigeria, the sale of their tower portfolio in Panama and multiple other buy-side advisory assignments. Mr. Lee has and continues to work on multiple other assignments on behalf of various clients. Prior to forming Intrepid, Daniel Lee was a managing director at Citi where he oversaw the firm’s advisory practice in towers across EMEA. While at Citi, Mr. Lee advised on 13 sale-leaseback transactions across both developed and emerging markets. Mr. Lee has worked with various mobile operators including MTN, Millicom, Cell C and Batelco. Many of the sale-leaseback transactions that Mr. Lee advised on where either the first and/or largest tower transaction in each of their respective markets (e.g. Millicom: Ghana, Tanzania, DRC and Colombia / MTN: Ghana, Uganda, Cameroon and Cote d’Ivoire / Cell C: South Africa) Mr. Lee has worked extensively with various tower operators on both buy-side advisory assignments and fundraising initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Lee has advised a number of leading private equity and infrastructure funds regarding potential investments into the tower sector. Prior to joining Citi, Mr. Lee was at J.P. Morgan working in both the firm’s TMT and M&A practices. Mr. Lee received his B.A. in Economics from Brown University. Mr. Lee also serves as TowerXchange’s Chairman.
